There was a recent post here in the Tenipuri community that got me thinking. Either in the post itself or in the comments, someone alluded to the fact? rumor? that Konomi had originally envisioned Kintarou as the star of PoT and Shitenhouji as the main featured team. (I went back like 160 entries to try to find this post and couldn't...)
This really got me thinking. What would PoT have been like if someone other than Ryoma had been the star - and another team, not Seigaku, had been the featured "home" team for the fans?

Chapter Summary: As Atobe gets out of hospital, Sanada doesn't decide to visit. Even then, he somehow ends up in Tokyo in the garden of what's more of a mansion than a house.
A/N: The "old man" is (as some of you might guess) Michael, Atobe's butler.
It was about the only hope he had of ever forgiving himself.

A/N: Just a little something that has been in my mind for a long while now, ever since I walked to the uni on a very beautiful morning. (Yes, I am actually sometimes up and about before 9 AM.)
The air was crisp, cold and clean, every breath he drew reminding him of the sharp reality, the cold burning if he drew too deep a breath, pinching at his cheeks and making his back ache as he found himself tensing against the cold.

I know this is pretty late to be asking this, but does anyone remember which of Atobe's singles or albums hit the oricon charts? I know one of them did (maybe more...? *is lost*) ...but I can't figure out what rankings they got at their height....sooo...
Can anyone tell me? Which album/single and rank? =)

Hello Prince of Tennis fans! I'm here to start up a discussion on something I've been thinking about for a while. And just what might that be? Continue reading to find out.
I'm in the middle of watching the Prince of Tennis movie Futari no Samurai again. I tend to watch this movie a lot. The thing I like so much about it? Well that'd be Ryoga. Yep, that's right. I wanna discuss Ryoga. Anything and everything Ryoga. For example: What did you think about him in the movie? Do you have any personal theories about him? What do you think about his being adopted? Or his orange-peel-eating habit? How old do you think he is? Why do you think he had a brief appearance in the OVA Another Story? Do you think he'll appear again somewhere or no?

Akutsu tilted his head back to get the last drops of his coffee, tongue reaching out to lick the last drops from the cold metal rim. Dan swallowed.

Anime version of PairPuri announced!
DVDs will include things like a match digest for each character [focusing on one major match], a picture drama (o_O so...an "anime" episode of still images? I guess?), mini-episode of chibis, etc.
First set to come out is the Tezuka x Atobe and Fuji x Yuuta DVDs (both on June 25), priced at 3990yen.
The DVDs are already available for pre-order on Amazon Japan (Tezuka/Atobe version is here), and at a cheaper price, too! |
